In most of the cases, you need to restart the PC for the correct base date to show up. Additionally, you could have been reinstalling the same updates over and over again and this is caused by an issue with the update servers or because of a misconfiguration. I advise restarting the PC after update, then check for the data. If it's the same, then it means something is wrong with the software. Reinstall it and repeat the update procedure. In case the error doesn't disappear, contact the developers and explain the issue: http://www.skydd.in/contact-us.html

I have installed E-Guard Total Security Antivirus and after installation I am facing a problem with installing setup files because my antivirus is showing that setup files are virus files. Please help me regarding this so I can install the programs.

You need to add those applications to the Exclusion list, when you believe they're safe for your computer, but there is also the possibility that the applications you're trying to install are infected with adware or malware and because of that the antivirus blocks them.

I recommend downloading an application from the developer's website and then try to install it. If the antivirus will detect it as malware, then I recommend changing the antivirus because it's bad and it's not working properly with files. Try something from Avast, Bitfender, AVG, or ESET. The false detection rate is way lower therefore making sure you can install your apps.

How do I get the activation key? I have a DVD with E-Guard Total Security for PC.

Answer by Pete Clapp

If you can't find the activation key on the DVD box, you need to contact the E-Guard Total Security developers. You can get in touch with Skydd Technologies using +91-11-45032259 phone number, [email protected] email address or the form from the official web page.

Try re-installing the application and make sure that you are connected to the Internet, then perform another activation. If you still encounter issues, then the only way to diagnose this error is by contacting the official developer. If you tried activating the serial number multiple times, there is the possibility it was blocked. Contacting the developer should solve this issue.

To update the antivirus in offline mode, download the package on another computer and transfer it to the offline computer with a USB flash drive. Visit the official website to download it.

You should avoid using antivirus solutions with a bad rating or not being tested by official testers. However, to get access to USB ports, go to Settings > Exclusions and add the drive to the recognized devices then you can browse its contents.

What do I do when Trojan.Patched.Win32.87673 is not deleted or quarantined by E Guard Total Security?

S
Answer by Sean Hill

If you can't remove the trojan with the help of the antivirus, then I recommend running Combofix. Combofix acts as an all-in-one tool that aggressively scans your computer for infected files. It's known to have a removal rate of 99 % (1 % are errors). Download the program, run it and leave the computer alone until it's finished.
